    Why not use emunand switcher. Search for the thread here. If you have the space on your microsd card to save two copies of the emunand, this is your best bet.

    Yes, I tried. It complained that the second profile would need to be a linked account to validate it could play the transfer tool. At that point, I couldn't be bothered anymore. The extra profiles on the device are only for ACNH and not associated with nintendo accounts.

    I was reading in the official forum that they said there is no issues with updating to 11.0 for RCM users, including no issue with emunand. I guess they missed disclosing this critical issue. So is this GC update have a workaround?

    That is why I said "legit". If you are playing via OFW with official Nintendo online connectivity, your version will show 1.6.0b as of 12/1. If you are playing with BCAT hacks (offline), your version will be 1.6.0c as of last month whenever you applied the hack.
