    really can't find any mistake from your post, normally the r4i gold 3ds is very easy to use: download Wood V1.64 kernel, unzip it, copy all files to root of the memory card. then run by your NDS. So easy. Maybe you'd better try to run the r4i gold 3ds on another console for a test.
