I did this mod on my first GBA but it didnt work, the power light comes on and then goes off really quick. any idea what ive done?, i checked batteries and everything. i thought i may have possibly shorted some traces. That is, where I did the soldering, I checked to see if i made a unintended...- crustywesty

@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device

@Xdqwerty, wire is definitely more practical IMO. Hell these days you can charge a laptop over USB, can't charge a laptop wirelessly though. Wireless chargers, even "fast" ones, are only good for slowly charging devices, plus they generate a good amount of heat too+1

Can plug my phone in and charge from 0 to 50% in like 20-30 minutes, Would take an hour+ on wireless charging
