Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

As a side note, 30AWG isn't small enough for this 0201 cap. Need like 36 or 40AWG from the looks of it. I broke the cap, but it isn't vital anyway. I took the cap off and then scratched off the solder resist on large power trace going to it, outlined below in red. This is much more secure than...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Wowwwwwwwwww That was literally it. VCC must have been switching at that point, or maybe it was interrupting the 3.3V input to the SD card. That cap is way too damn small to be using as a permanent point though, going to have to find another option. Thanks a bunch!

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hey, finally had time to resolder all the points and clean everything up from flux. I had removed the USB port, but I bodged in a USB cable and bootsel button for now to reflash the chip and verify everything. Same issue as before. Video attached. Is there any chance it's looking for a...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I used 47 ohm resistors on DAT0, CMD, CLK. No resistor on RST. I used the latest version of Hekate, though I honestly don't remember my OFW version and I don't think it matters at the bootloader stage, only the horizon stage. 1680150949 I used the waveshare RP2040 Zero from Amazon. It has the...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hey all, just finished the install on my switch lite, and I can get to the Hekate no SD screen, but as soon as I put a payload.bin on an SD card and put it in, it seems to just boot loop. Black screen, but the picofly seems to be successfully glitching multiple times. Seems to end in a bright...

Tutorial Xbox One Internal Hard Drive Upgrade or Repair: Build any size drive that works on any console

Just of note, but an extreme third option for fixing a dead Xbox One hard drive is to find a second Xbox One with a working drive and clone the good drive to another drive you want to use in the dead Xbox One. From there, just run the OSU1 from the startup error screen, and it'll probably work...

    Hacking VitaCheat/FinalCheat Database

Those are savedata modification codes, not memory modification codes. They cannot be directly converted. Someone would need to find equivalent codes for memory modification.

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

R113 is what you're asking about right? If I have some time, I'll check it out, but I'm pretty busy these days so no guarantees I'll get to it.

    Hacking Bayonetta savedata checksum error

For the Wii U, the trick was to operate on the autosave data, as checksums were not checked. This was likely due to a programming oversight. Bayonetta 2 doesn't care at all about the checksum on the Wii U, so it was entirely unnecessary to implement. I think at one point the checksum algothrim...

Like, it isn't working when you plug the mod into a SD to USB reader, or did you literally solder a USB cable to the board? If the latter, you almost definitely killed your DSi's mainboard.

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

Good thing this guide assumes you need to hardmod your console, and covers the process step by step already then lmfao Only change would be using the resigner to add the desired DSiware instead of using the DSishop.

Gaming If I switch ONLY the Motherboard of 2 DSi (non-xl) will they still work?

Shouldn't be an issue, there's no hardware pairing or anything like that.

Homebrew If I buy a wiped DSi, will there be any possiblility of obtaining Flipnote?

To be fair, I only did my work to reinforce the tools created by @WulfyStylez and help the scene along. I'm hardly responsible for the scene coming back to the DSi, just one of many proponents. As for your SD2Vita, that looks like a V1 xyz board. Mine were setup with a 4th pad for all four...

Homebrew If I buy a wiped DSi, will there be any possiblility of obtaining Flipnote?

To be fair, I'm Canadian, and shipping to NB is usually pretty cheap from the US. For just the PCB, it's usually about $10.00 each way for insured shipping. You and a couple others have been doing a lot of work on the DSi lately, so I'm just paying my respect. I hard-modded the first set of...

Homebrew If I buy a wiped DSi, will there be any possiblility of obtaining Flipnote?

@SketchyPixel If you want to have two, you can ship the bricked board to me with the backed-up (with any modifications you feel like adding) NAND image and I'll write it for you. I don't need the whole console, just the mainboard, though you can send the whole thing if you prefer. $10.00CAD for...

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

For the time being, I've repacked and updated the package to contain TWLtool 1.6 instead of 1.1. I won't be updating the guide itself for a few weeks though.

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

I've used both plenty of times, though granted I've hardmodded every console I've worked on, so it's possible that you soft-modders are having issues as a result of the NAND being ripped via software and not hardware. I'm not sure what to tell you other than "works for me". When I get some free...
