    Portable PS2

He used 2 large Li-Po batteries from batteryspace.com, (not the 18650s @DeoNaught linked, although they are very popular for most portables) with protection circuitry and custom regulators to power the battery.

    Portable PS2

Because there are a lot of parts that go into a portable. Go look at his worklog and see how crammed for space everything is on the inside.

    Portable PS2

This is indeed a real thing. Portablizers cut up consoles like the wii, n64 and ps2 to turn them into portable handheld units. Bitbuilt is currently the meeting ground for this community. There are reasons why he chose not to do that. First off, modeling something with the organic geometry of a...

    Hardware What port is this????

The port is only present on "Family Edition" wiis. These wiis have no gamecube ports, and a board code of RVK-CPU-01 or RVK-CPU-02. It's traces run back to the gamecube memory card data lines, and gamecube player 1 and 4 data lines. It has no data traces that the Wii didn't have. Check link in...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I know that wiiflow supports NEEK natively. Does it support autobooting wii games into SNEEK+DI or some other form of disc drive emulation? I am attempting to run the wii without any disc drive daughterboard connected. I was not able to figure out how to get nand emulation running through wiiflow.

    Hacking Nintendont

This is going to sound like sarcasm, but i genuinely mean every word. Posts like that are exactly what I need: to be corrected. I don't know much about software, and when I'm wrong, I need to be told so. Information like this is really helpful. I'm relaying this information back to the...

    Hacking Nintendont

I'm referring to things like the mios, not the ports.

    Hacking Nintendont

I may not understand software too much, but I know hardware. Wii U has no MIOS, or apparent places for gamecube ports. It was a complete redesign of the wii, including completely reworked chip, rather than just a hardware revision. The Wii games do not use MIOS or gamecube hardware: to my...

    Hacking Nintendont

The only thing they changed on the family edition was they removed the ports, the electric filtration components to the ports like capacitors and diodes, and the disc drives ability to hold gamecube sized discs. Swapping the drive for an older one re-adds the ability to read and load discs, and...

    Hacking Nintendont

Hey over at Bitbuilt.net we have been heavily modifying the Wii hardware. We have successfully removed the MX chip (link to wiibrew info below) and the system boots and runs gamecube discs through stock mios just fine, but games wont boot in nintendon't. Any idea what might be causing this...

    Hacking Nintendont

Hey FIX94, is there any word on BBA emulation? Ive looked around and haven't heard much lately. A while back I read that it was in the works. As a big fan of kirby air ride, that is the upcoming feature Im looking forward to the most

Hacking Request: Make all daughterboard checks return false positives

Gamecube controller will allow full control through homebrew. Zenloc and I are working on hardware alternatives, but a software solution would be a HUGE deal and change the portablizing scene. We are both hardware guys, and know little to nothing about software. Really awesome, capible...

Hacking Request: Make all daughterboard checks return false positives

TL;DR: Under certain circumstances, the wii runs checks to make sure the disc drive, bluetooth, and wifi cards are still present. Can someone make a hack that will make all checks return a positive? Hello again, Dyx here back from ModRetro. I have been spending quite a bit of time working on...
