    (1) (2) Most likely no. It's more something cosmetic. HDDOSD lets you 1) launch your PS2 games from it (instead of launching them from OPL), 2) launch PS2 apps from there (you need to install them in the header's partition, you will have to dedicate 128Mb per app).

    Well, if you really can't make PS3 proxy work, you could use that one. Dump it's act.dat and your idps and it will be fine.

    1. Well, you could install FMCB/FHDB. This would allow you to use OPL instead of HDAdvance - you could expect more compatibility with PS2 games. And also use other apps - like you already said. Since you have a IDE HDD, I would recommend FHDB instead of FMCB - it has less limitations. 2...

    Only in the last betas - stable 0.9.3 doesnt have it. It was introduced in rev990 - OPL is currently in rev1031. Lately, DS4 et multitap support was added. But well, according to the tests I did, it's quite stable. Indeed.

    TBH, I wouldnt use OPL server... It was buggy in 0.9.3 version. You can try the last betas, it was fixed after 0.9.3. The most friendly method to install games over network is HDLGameInstaller IMO.
