    Hacking 3in1 integration with Acekard

In the History and Manufacture section of how_do_i_do_that's post, it says 3in1 (v1 and phat) : Made in APR 2007, it is a stripped down version of the EZ-Flash IV. Ended due to supply issues of certain chips. 3in1 (v2) : Made in 2008, design revision to support new chips. Had the shorted...

    Hacking 3in1 integration with Acekard

I understand that there were only three version of code released while there are four hardware revisions. What I am saying is that what how_do_i_do_that said in his thread is that EZ5C11 (v4) has v1 hardware on PSRAM and NOR, and v3 (plus) hardware on rumble/ram. So when the loader looks at...

    Hacking 3in1 integration with Acekard

So you're saying that if I do end up with an EZ5C11 (the one that's being sold now), it would work just like a 3in1new (v2)? But it doesn't seem like that's how it works at all. Is what how_do_i_do_that said on that thread not true?

But not only the plus, but the version of the 3in1 that came after the plus, which I think neither rumble nor ram work with. Post#154 by how_do_i_do_that gives a techinal explanation as to why it isn't working...

Hacking How to tell which version of the 3in1 you have.

Well, thanks for the explanation. I don't really like the answer, but that's not your fault. The only thing that uses the RAM is the browser, and who really cares about rumble, anyway? I'll buy the v1, and keep a lookout for a used v1 or Fat (at least I'll be able to tell it will work without...

Hacking How to tell which version of the 3in1 you have.

So basically they did not release software after they stopped making the 3in1+?

    Hacking 3in1 integration with Acekard

Hacking How to tell which version of the 3in1 you have.

So, just to clarify, it is v1/v2 firmware, with v3 hardware (except less memory?) Does this even work with their own products? Beause it doesn't seem like it would. I also heard that they've stopped making the 3in1 altogether. Is there any truth in this?

Hacking How to tell which version of the 3in1 you have.

Thanks for the explanation. So if the changes were purely hardware changes, and there were no software changes, then do you know why v4 has more problems, or was that mostly in people's heads? On another note, if the only hardware change was the reduction in memory, couldn't they have just...

Hacking How to tell which version of the 3in1 you have.

Can anyone tell me what the differences between 3in1+ and v4 are? The wiki on the 3in1 says that the 1st version was stopped due to supplier issues, and the second was stopped for the memory upgrade, but there is nothing about why the plus was stopped. I have read that v4 does not work even as...

    Hacking 3in1 integration with Acekard

So it doesn't work with the 3rd version yet (3in1+) and the 4th version is even worse. And sorry, but I can't help you with Wood, as this would be my first card. Was the source on the original 3in1 and new3in1 hacked or released? EDIT: It seems that the code for the plus was released, but I...

    Hacking 3in1 integration with Acekard

I really would like to know the answer to this question. I read about problems with the 4th version (EZ5C11) of the 3in1, but those posts are at least a year old and I can't find anything more recent. Do more recent relases of AKAIO work with this version?
