Hacking Starfox Sound! How can I fix this?

Other than Devolution or retail disc, the only other current option for streaming audio is a modchip like YAOSM 3.2 or WiiKey v1. Nintendont might offer streaming audio eventually....

    Hacking Devolution - Public Release

Some Wii modchips cause a disc verification failure (e.g. Wasabi) and must be disabled or removed. Others are completely transparent to Devolution and have no issues at all with the program (e.g. Wiikey v1 with the region free feature turned off).

    Hardware WiiKey Possibly Died

I would suspect that the Wii-Clip has failed before the Wiikey. I would try soldering it directly before giving up on it. Soldering an original Wiikey is actually fairly easy, as there is no need to solder directly to tiny IC pins like later modchips. Use a magnifying glass if necessary...

    Hacking Nintendont

Installed it on a 16GB SD card for use with my Wii. The app seemed to crash and appears to load in progressive scan mode (using component cable), so there is no way to tell what is going on with a 480i television because the screen is completely garbled. Perhaps it would be a good idea to load...

Hardware Is it okay to buy unofficial component cables?

These are inexpensive and excellent quality: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=114&cp_id=11404&cs_id=1140401&p_id=5689&seq=1&format=2 Not sure about shipping to your country.

I need some help, some support, or something. I'm about to lose it.

Sounds like you've encountered a "perfect storm" lately. Hope things improve soon! FYI: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1082.html#entry_requirements

    Hacking Nintendont

Wii hardware is basically the same as Gamecube hardware, though the Wii has a bit more memory plus a few extra bits (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). I'm not a programmer, but I imagine that some translation has to take place for GC games to run in Wii mode, though the basic hardware is already there...

Hacking How to patch the NSMB image to get NEWER

Does the loader.bin have to be patched as well before making the ISO? Or should the original loader.bin from the NewerSMBW directory be used?

Hacking How to patch the NSMB image to get NEWER

Not sure why this is not working. I used the exact command structure shown in your dolpatch example. Is an offset value supposed to be entered manually? Here's the result with Newer (located in 'specials/NewerFiles/'), and the extracted NSMB in 'specials/nsmb.d/': G:\specials>wit dolpatch...

    Hacking Gamecube iso's

Thanks for testing. Looks like the Wii U likely won't read GC discs without some serious work.

Please try WiiXplorer and see if the Wii U can read any files on the GC disc.

    Hacking Gamecube iso's

While the security and data structure are very similar to Wii discs, Wii U basically lacks the firmware to know what to do with a GC disc. If you get a chance, see if you can rip a GC disc using CleanRip. My guess is that it will work with an adapter...

Hacking (Proof of Concept) Gamecube games in vWii on Wii U

CleanRip may provide a good test of the Wii U's ability to read Gamecube discs using an adapter. As for the hackers who have have full access to fOf's findings, I somehow doubt that crediar is included, in part because his programs allow users to play old games without DRM. Great to see his...

    Hacking Starfox Adventures Audio Problem

Yes, YAOSM 3.2 and Wiikey v1 are modchips which connect to the drive controller on DMS/D2A/D2B drives and allow them to play Gamecube audio streams from backup discs. Dialog cannot be heard in games like Star Fox Adventures because software backup loaders like NeoGamma simply mute the audio...
