    Some games want to upgrade your system. i know i can hit cancel to skip this but is there a setting or something that can be installed to keep someone or even me from accidentally upgrading my system rendering it useless?

    i ripped my PS2 SoTC game to an iso format but when i go to run it in multiman it says i need a genesis emulator. what? anyone have any luck with PS2 backups?

    i downloaded the file but its named Rogero_CEX_4.30_v2.00.pup instead of ps3updat.pup. im guessing i need to rename it? the md5 checked out ok btw. thanks for all the help. *edit* NM i see where you have to change the name but still hoping i can go straight from 3.55OFW to 4.30 v2 CFW

    yes i have completed that step. im currently reinstalling the 3.55 ofw and then i guess im going to take the plunge and go rogero 4.3 v2 cfw

    So i should be able to go straight from 3.55 OFW to Rogero 4.30 v 2 without dehashing since i was only on hermes 3.55 and never went past that? also do you have the MD5 for the rogero 4.30 2.0? i just don't want to brick my system. TIA

    thanks. ive downgraded to 3.55 OFW. i was looking and it looks as though there is a rogero 4.3 v 2.00 out now. anyone tested it to see if its safe?

    im extremely confused. i software modded my ps3 a few years ago to kmeaw 3.55 i think. can i update to 4.21 now? or is this just for hardware modders? the reason this is confusing me is the sticky says there isnt anything above 3.55.

    i figured it out. i didnt know you had to make hombrew look at the usb instead of internal sd. i got lucky and found it by just hitting buttons. thanks for the help anyway

    i cant get cleanrip to appear so i can run it in hombrew. for an example of how i have it setup i have rootofUSB:apps>cleanrip1.4>*.dol what am i doing wrong? edit* do i need to change the two files to boot.dol? right now they are cleanripgc.dol and cleanripgc-lz.dol.

    Is it harmful to the USB HDD playing your backups straight form the drive you want to store them on? I was thinking of maybe having a backup for my backups. anyone experience any problems playing straight from a USB HDD?
