    Hacking RetroGameFan Updates/Releases

Problem still persists, but I followed the same procedure I did with my friend's DSTT and his runs the game without a hitch. Anybody have any ideas why mine is like that? =\ We're both using the same ROM, firmware and flash cart. He is using a DS Lite though.

ROM Hack Pokemon B/W AP Discussion Thread

I'm getting the New Game Freeze thing from Pokemon Black and White on my TTDS. I've tried Wood4TT v1.25 and YSMenu v6.56 but its been getting that same AP measure. I've tried both patched and clean versions. Any ideas as to why this is and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Tried formatting my card and everything... Other ROMs work fine though, just played Mario Kart. It's just Pokemon Black and White that keep freezing after I hit new game.

    Hacking RetroGameFan Updates/Releases

I tried 2 different ROMs already. Patched and unpatched. I guess I'll give the STD ROM a shot, downloading it now. Edit - Just downloaded the ROM and tried it, still doesn't work. Any other ideas guys?

    Hacking RetroGameFan Updates/Releases

Hey guys, I just got a DSTT off a friend and loaded YSMenu 6.56 onto it along with a copy of Pokemon White. When I load the game, it works until I hit the New Game button, then I hear a clicking sound (like when the DS turns off) and the game just freezes at a black screen. Any ideas on why...

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
