Hacking Bricked vwii. Tried some stuff, but no luck. Advice?

Try using Python 2.7 instead, but if that doesn't work, no idea.

Hacking Bricked vwii. Tried some stuff, but no luck. Advice?

@teege You could delete slccmpt01 and copy over cousin's copy, but bear in mind that doing this would result in you having the same console ID as him, which could cause issues when going online in vWii mode via Wiimfi. If one of you got banned, both of you would. After replacing your slccmpt01...

Hacking Any way to prevent disc drive access?

You could always try shoving more coins in, since the damage is done already.

Comment by 'shaneod' in '[PSA] Critical Security Vulnerabilities in "Foxverse" (an open source Miiverse replacement) and the return of PokeAcer'

@ctrninja I don't think there'd be any value in double salting. I'd just increase the bcrypt cost factor if I wanted it to be more secure.

@HamBone41801, just for the record, you don't need to salt when using bcrypt, because it uses built-in salts to prevent rainbow table attacks. Point being, you're not realistically cracking a bcrypt password. There's no need to do anything else asides from simply hashing server-side and checking...

Hacking [Release] Unofficial NUSD for vWii

I removed the repo and have no backup. The xml was made manually. The generated wads weren't being properly signed, hence my decision to remove the repo.

    Gaming Quick Question

Looks the same as Bash for Windows. It says Windows 10 anyway, not Xbox. I wouldn't expect Linux on Xbox One via official means. It'd require somebody to hack the system, like the PS4.

    Gaming Quick Question

This is the right section. There is no question section. Or would you rather he posted in tutorials, your Majesty? Where was this confirmed? I googled several times and found no source to back this claim up.

    Hacking HaxChi Cfw banned console

Or you could just be honest with Nintendo and tell them that you bought a code from a third party and weren't aware that it was stolen.

Homebrew fs open file failed error

I'm pretty sure the OP's console is working perfectly, and it's just that whenever they attempt to launch homebrew, it gives the "FS Open Failed" error. I think that's caused by the sd card either missing files or being wrongly formatted? At this point imo you'd be better off following a guide...

Homebrew Official Mocha CFW - The sweet chocolate to your latte!

I backed up the contents of slccmpt01, deleted them, and restored from the backup, and vWii isn't bootable anymore. FTPiiU everywhere won't fix it. I think it's because either the owner or the permissions are different. If I recall, FTPiiU doesn't have chmod implemented, and no cfw...

Homebrew Official Mocha CFW - The sweet chocolate to your latte!

I'm excited for this because it seems like it might unbrick my vWii or at least make it usable :) Needs chmod or chown patching. vWii VC also seems like it may benefit, from the posts I've read.

    Hacking VWii recovery using WupHax?

I've tried, and it doesn't seem like any chmod implementation works on SLC files.

    Hacking VWii recovery using WupHax?

I learned this the hard way a few weeks ago. I have a file-level backup of slccmpt01. I figured since I had a backup I'd be fine, so I deleted all of slccmpt01's contents and restored. Any unbrick recommendations? Permissions are all wrong. The backup was made prior to the brick. I don't think...

Homebrew DS(i) Mode hacking progress thread

How about instead of posting that something doesn't work every 10 minutes, you just wait a few days until it's actually stable? It makes reading this thread for something useful/relevant difficult with all the posts like this.
