You don't need a crossover cable on an xbox to pc connection these days(assuming you have a 2006 and later pc). I use a normal cable myself. 11 mbps via filezilla.
Tested that HDD before putting it in the xbox and it works fine when it boots in evox so I don't think it's the health of the hdd.
The 50-50 chance of booting in modded and unmodded mode has been going on since I got this(with the stock hdd).
I could also press Start before turning on the...
Never had issues with heat(and I live in a tropical country).
You could try that 60gb hdd if you want.
You could probably fit at most 10 to 20 games in it.
I'd install FHDB too and set a per game virtual MMC so that you won't ever need a memory card.
Hi,
I have just upgraded the hdd of my chipped xbox but it has like a 50-50 chance of going into the mod(with the evox logo).
When it does boot up with the evox logo, everything works fine. It does, however go to the error screen when it boots up without the evox logo.
It used to do that 50-50...
I needed to region-change another Wii. This time a Jap wii to US.
Found out about ModMii's Region Changing capabilities and used it instead.
Worked even better and a lot easier.
All you have to do is choose from the menu items and you'd have a region changed wii in no time.
Modmii is so...
1. I pretty much just use Modmii. It's as stupid-proof as they come.
2. Yes
3. Possible but they suck. External HDDs are way better.
4. Haven't really installed arcade emus on the wii but from my xbox experience, Final Burn can load MAME romsets.
Update:
Went ahead and region changed the Wii using ARC offline mod(I did, of course, install a few 4.1 wads before ARC-ing)
Worked like a charm!
What used to be an EU PAL wii is now a US NTSC wii(with a nice blue theme to boot).
Works on all the TVs I have(even the CRT NTSCs).
Thanks for...
Hello,
I would like to force a PAL wii to boot on NTSC(for use on an old NTSC CRT TV).
I found out about AnyRegionChanger today and I was wondering if I could just change the video mode to NTSC and save without actually changing regions.
So that the Wii stays PAL but the video mode is NTSC...
Hi guys,
I just got myself a modded NTSC Wii with HBloader and Homebrew channel already installed.
I also have another Wii(PAL) which I modded myself a few years back via the letterbomb method.
I was wondering if I could use the PAL's SD card to repopulated the Homebrew Channel of the NTSC...
Update:
Used Hexen 2017 to reinstall UnleashX and make it the default Dash.
Also bought a 2 USD cable and FTP'd Emulators and roms(also a few small games).
Didn't know this thing is a great emulation machine(Final Burn Legends)!
Now if I could only get my hands on a compatible HDD...
Thanks...
Update: I am now able to copy dvd games to the hdd.
I was also able to run Hexen 2017, install Xmbc and UnleashX.
I can't seem to find UnleashX though and the apps in XMBC is empty.
How do I boot to the UnleashX dash?
Thanks!
