Hacking GameTDB - game information database + covers

I download my covers from the TDB database via USB Loader GX but some of them are downloaded in other languages. How do I ensure I only get the US art work? Thanks!

    Hacking USB Loader GX Crash(s)

r938 cIOS249 4.2U Fat32 & WGFS Partition When I select "Default Settings" in the Options screen and hit "Back", USB Loader GX crashes. The same thing happens from the "Home" menu when I select "Return to Loader." I'm just curious what causes this and if anyone else has this issue? Thanks!

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

I'm glad your "done" because to be honest, I never asked for your help specifically. If you have such a problem with how I respond to your advice...stop typing. Quite frankly, most of your advice is just you talking in circles about using loaders to test a new drive and telling me I've screwed...

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

Not trying to make you mad but you have to understand that your suggestion, while appreciated, is not very help as this is a brand new HDD out of the box, not more than two days old. It's only been used for this project and I've barley plugged it up. Very little chance there's anything wrong...

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

Well, I'd rather avoid having to go back and change any of the files that were installed during my original soft-mod installation using this tutorial. So, as I do want to try USB Loader GX first (I'm also motivated by several themes I have been working on for this loader specifically), can't I...

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

Yeah, and even though a lot of people advise me yo use CFB Loafer over GX, the interface is the main reason I choose GX. I'm a whore for looks (and I've read its more compatible with newer games).

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

Thanks Choke! Great tutorial. However, before I try it, is there any weight to the IOS issue not loading FAT32 if its 249/250?

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

I think I have found the problem. The tutorial I used has a IOS installed that may not support FAT32. 249/250. Investigating....

    Hacking Partition Issues = Frustration

says it all... Here's the skinny. With the advisement that all USB Loaders are compatible with the FAT32 file system (and being a better choice overall), here's what I did: 1) Purchased a 1TB USB 2.0 Hitachi HDD (which came FAT32) 2) Created a WBFS folder on the drive 3) Copied my USB Loader...

Actualy, I am using it, in part. When you recommended it earlier I tried it but I'm substituting the files I'd rather use in the guide.

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

OK, with some more research, I finaly got everything installed and up and running...for the most part. I had everything all set but when I loaded the USB Loader GX from my USB hard drive via HBC, it gave me the "No WBFS or FAT32/NTFS Partion Found." I have a 1TB Hitachi USB 2.0 drive. This...

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

Well, I've been working with some tutorials and I've definitely made some progress. Unfortunately, a whole new handful of questions have popped up. So here goes... 1) I used Wii Mod Manager to format my 1TB drive to FAT. But, when I open the app and select my drive, it's asking me "do I want to...

Do all the disc loaders have to be launched from a channel first or will the game just start if its in the drive when the console is powered on?

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

Ah, makes sense. Although I don't have anything setup yet. Im still trying to find the right tutorials for my setp. USB Loader GX seems to have the best cover flow view. Thats whats drawing me there. And on a related note, I'd also like to be able to load backups via the disc channel from a...

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

So how would I set up USB Loader GX to run from the same hard drive after I do all the formating and transfering using Wii Backup Manager. Also, in the tutorial for using Wii Backup Manager, it still has WBFS as an option. Why not use this?

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

UPDATE: Alright, I bought an external 1TB USB Hitachi HDD today. I'm looking to install the USB Loader GX and my Wii games all onto this drive and run everything within this hard drive (without the need of a SD card). I do remember something about needing two partitions for this and formatting...

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

Hmm, interesting. My ultimate goal is to have either a Flash Drive or USB Harddrive connected to the Wii and run USB Loader GX's cover flow option to launch my games. Can all that be done independently from the SD card? It would be nice to remove the sd card from the equation.

Hacking ...and more things I don't know!

I'm curious. Why keep the "wad" folder? I have removed all other wad files from the root of my SD, and I have already installed everything I wish to install to my Wii. Any reason not to remove the folder as well? Also, I saw in another thread it is suggested to keep the "private" folder but...
