Hacking Naming standard for multi disc games

Cool, that's the info I was after. I totally missed the fact that DiscEx adds the 2 for disc 2. :)

Hacking Naming standard for multi disc games

I was wondering if we already have a naming standard for multi disc games, or hopefully come up with one. What I mean is, the label added to the display and folder names for the 2nd or 3rd disc etc. For example, the folder names would look like this.. Resident Evil [GBIE08] Resident Evil...

    Hacking Problem with a game

Since it doesn't work in both loaders and DML booter, you can rule that out straight away. Dolphin doesn't care about the size, speed or how your card is formatted but it matters to DML. Make sure it's formatted as FAT32 with at least 32KB clusters, 64KB would be better. Just because your...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Nice, thanks guys. I'll have an option to select which format to use then. Maybe have an extra function too, for mass converting all games that are already on the drive.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I have a few questions if someone can point me in the right direction to some info.. When storing GC games on a USB drive, what format should they be in? Should they be regular ISO, DiscEx/GCReEX? I'm not sure whether the loaders convert the ISO to DiscEx format for example, when it's copied...

Hacking How do I manually scrub a GameCube game?

http://gcit.wiibackupmanager.co.uk To create a scrubbed ISO, load your original ISO, then just save it to a "full size ISO". If you store these on an NTFS drive it uses sparse files to save on drive space, so there's no need to compress (rar/zip) them afterwards. If you enable the option to...

Hacking Having problems with any usb loader and DML

It might be worth trying out my little ISO tool? http://gcit.wiibackupmanager.co.uk. themanuel told me that GCReEx doesn't extract some ISOs very well and some files are missing. I've no idea what your real problem is, but the tool is there if you need it anyway. I've been using GCIT and DML...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I got a few requests that made me change my mind.. I'm now focusing on getting the Gamecube stuff integrated into WBM like I was supposed to. :)

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I'm not the best with batch files. Obviously you'd need a script to loop through the passed parameters (the ISO filenames), generate a list from the folder passed or parse a text file containing the filenames. Maybe someone could pitch in with an example? Here's a couple of links that might...

Gamecube ISO Tool 1.0.1 Build 5

Gamecube ISO tool is basically what the name suggests. You can use it to convert between various Gamecube formats for backup purposes or playing on most USB loaders via Dios Mios Lite. The main purpose of GCIT is as a testbed for gamecube functionality in Wii Backup Manager, but I've tried my...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

@Burton Thanks. I forgot to remove special characters from the default filename in the save dialog. I do it everywhere else but forgot to do it there. :) I wonder why it didn't cause problems in Windows 7 though. When I purposely add a ":", I get a message saying the filename is invalid...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Unfortunately, there's no internal hashes in GC games. I could easily add an MD5 checksum of all the used data, similar to what I did in WBM. It's probably more useful with GC games than Wii, since the Wii games do already have internal hashes.

    Hacking Dios Mios Lite

Hi, I saw that a couple of people were talking about me writing a little Gamecube ISO app, so I'm hoping it's appropriate to announce it here.. http://gbatemp.net/topic/188295-wii-backup-manager-for-windows/page__view__findpost__p__4224842 BTW, thanks for all the hard work on DML. My kids...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I've just released the standalone Gamecube ISO Tool. http://gcit.wiibackupmanager.co.uk Read and write Full size (scrubbed) or trimmed ISO/GCM, GCReEx and DiscEx formats with direct conversion. Extract games from GCOS multiboot ISOs to any of the supported formats. Command line options for...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Mount the 318GB drive as drive 1, 500GB as drive 2. Then on the Drive 1 tab, Select->All and Transfer->Drive2 from the menu.. If you have both drives mounted and remember to tick the boxes (not highlight the games), the transfer options will be enabled. If all you want to do is convert the...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I asked because, as you might have already run into, GCReEx underdumps some files. Because my code is written from scratch, it shouldn't have the same bug. I might've created some of my own though. :) I need to test with a few more ISOs, but everything's basically working with standard...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I wonder if your extraction method will be compatible with Crediar's GCReEx tool for use with DML. I'm using GCReEx to compare my files, so it should eventually be exactly the same. Is there currently a clever way to compare the files ripped from an ISO with the source ISO to verify that all...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

The extracted files should also have an fst.bin? Couldn't you just read all the file sizes from that? It won't be exactly the same as checking all the file sizes because GCReEx adds some padding to the files, but it's actually the real size of the used data.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I started working on the gamecube support recently.. I'm not sure why it still doesn't work in my main code because I wrote a separate GC disc handler and everything works fine. I can load regular and GCOS multiboot ISOs for now and I can easily add ISO extraction/building too. I haven't...
