Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Are the files BOOT.NDS and SafeB9SInstall.bin just leftover files from the custom firmware installation process and can be deleted? Note: one of each is on two different 3DS's that were soft-modded years apart.

Best tool to verify your dumped nsp's?

Thanks. I have been using it too but it doesn't check hases.

    godmode9: build support files fails

    Brilliant! It works. Thanks.

Best tool to verify your dumped nsp's?

What is the absolute best tool to verify your nsp dumps (signature and content) against internal hashes or any available external databases? I've tried several tools that attempt to do this but they all seem to have stopped development, and some provide conflicting results when verifying...

    godmode9: build support files fails

Thanks, but navigating to ticket.db and trying to build the files from the option in the A button menu also fails for me.

    godmode9: build support files fails

You don't need that to update games on eShop. Search the forums and you'll see that question has been asked often.

    godmode9: build support files fails

I meant that I haven’t needed them yet but wanted to report it as a possible bug, in case I need the files at some point.

    godmode9: build support files fails

I added the question to the project's Github discussions page, but I haven't seen an answer.

Tool to verify Wii U package files?

Since Wii U NUS package files contain .h3 files with verification hashes in them, is there a tool that verifies integrity of the game files using these hashes? Dolphin does something similar based on hash data stored in the original Wii discs.

Homebrew [NDS] Forwarder CIAs for your HOME Menu

Yeah, as far as I know, Checkpoint is only for native 3DS saves but I may be wrong in this. At least I don't see any of my NDS saves in it. The NDS forwarders may show up in your menu as native 3DS apps, but they are just the middle man that passes info to nds-boostrap so that it knows to...

Homebrew [NDS] Forwarder CIAs for your HOME Menu

I don't think Checkpoint manages NDS saves. You can easily find your save in your SD card in the same directory where you have your roms stored, inside a sub-directory named "saves". You can place there any native NDS saves you may have from you previous consoles or NDS emulators.

Homebrew [NDS] Forwarder CIAs for your HOME Menu

I don't use a flash cart. The .nds games are in a folder in my N3DS's SD card. They absolutely use and need nds-boostrap to load. I'm just wondering if I can continue to update nds-boostrap as I always have, or if the forwarder CIA's installed by NDSForwarder brought with it a custom version...

Homebrew [NDS] Forwarder CIAs for your HOME Menu

I just redid all my DS forwarders (on my N3DS XL) with NDSForwarder, and it worked great. My question is whether it uses a customized version of nds-bootstrap, or if I can continue updating nds-bootstrap normally with Universal Updater from this point on.

    godmode9: build support files fails

Thanks for checking. The github wiki for godmode9 explains what they are used for. I have been OK without them but wanted to have them just in case. I'll check again when the next godmode update is released.

I ctr-no-time offset safe to use at any time?

Thanks. Why does it need to be corrected in both places?

    godmode9: build support files fails

When I use the script to build support files in godmode9 (for godmode9 "support" folder), it creates seeddb.bin, but failes to create encTitleKeys.bin and decTitleKeys.bin. Is this a known issue?

I ctr-no-time offset safe to use at any time?

I modded my New3DS a couple of years ago following the 3dshacks guide, including using no-time-offset. Everything has been working great, but I noticed today my 3DS was reporting 2031 as the date. After making sure I had not accidentally used my powers and traveled to the future, I proceeded to...

Homebrew Question NSP or XCI better for yuzu (and how to verify them)?

Yeah, I realize that as far as loading the games into Yuzu, there should be no difference if the games are correct. I'm more concerned about which format allows for better verification.

Homebrew Question NSP or XCI better for yuzu (and how to verify them)?

I'm currently on the outside, looking in on this whole yuzu thing, and was wondering which off the two formats is more convenient for Yuzu emulator use: XCI or NSP. Also, whichever one is best, what is the best way to verify files are correctly dumped or no corrupt, etc.? Thanks in advance.
