Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I'm sure you already know what I'm going to say, but here I say it anyway. Yay, it works! Thanks again for fixing that link.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I tried using the new version of this program, but when I select 'update' the lower half remains empty, with the Games (0). I have the proper drive selected, and the path for the games, for example are P:\wbfs\10 Minute Solution [SM2E52]\SM2E52.wbfs Any idea why I'm not getting the expected...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I haven't needed to add anything. Is it only for particular covers, or is that for all of your covers? Also, do you already have a front cover for that game? I have seen it do that, but only when I'm trying to download something that's not on the WiiTDB servers yet, i.e. if there's no full...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I suppose I'll throw my 2 cents in too. Myself I use 249 19b38, and have 20b56 installed to 250. Use all music games through my 250 slot then because it can read DLC on SDHC cards. I know I could do away with that if I had 20b56 installed to 249, but I like the silky smooth flow of 19.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Perhaps try loading WiiFlow, then exiting into the Wii System Menu, followed by going back into WiiFlow. I think I've had to do that, or else load WiiFlow, load a game, exit game, and then go back into WiiFlow. I don't know what the logic to it working afterward was for me, but I'd theorize...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

check apps/wiiflow/wiiflow.ini... that's where it should be located, I believe.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

A few revisions ago they decided to re-assign those buttons, don't recall for what since I don't use them. I also liked the feature, but as far as I know, it is not coming back. To jump alphabetically, hold B and press Down for next letter or Up for previous letter. Hold B and right or left...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Ok, just ran it twice successfully, for clarification, I'm using the r254-249 release of WiiFlow. First time I ran it was using cIOS r19b38 in my 249 slot, second time was using r20b56 in the 250 slot. I believe every single setting is the stock default setting, actually. WiiFlow Settings...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I already had the file for r19 saved as a wad since I'd done that before installing r20, so that wasn't difficult. When I installed r20, I hadn't noticed the option to select the slot, so I probably just flew by that. So, yeah, if doing that as the main install way my way would be an extra...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I tested Sniper Elite out on my Wii the other day, and it worked... I'll check again in the morning or some such, and I'll get back to you. However, if it's what I recall, everything is normal settings, the r254-249 release, cIOS r19b38. Again, I'll test it out again later, when I get a...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Now, I will def. point out that this is from July 3, so that's maaaaany many revisions ago and I expect everything is running a lot smoother for the Hermes based stuff, since you're running it nice and smooth. Anywho, that's why I stuck with 249, mugotu recommended it (at the time) and I...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Nando's got a pretty good explanation. The games don't scroll as fast / smooth, for example. It was running smooth on cIOS r19b38, so I'll do that for my 249 and keep r20b56 for the 250 slot, use that to launch the music games, see how that works. That way the main bit of WiiFlow will run...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

You rock! Installed cIOS r20b56, tested both by launching disc and by playing from HDD and both the Rock Band: The Beatles and Guitar Hero 5 recognized (and loaded) songs from the SDHC. Sadly, it wasn't able to change the programming of Rock Band 2, so that's still limited to standard SD cards...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Noticed something, I popped in a disc for Rock Band: The Beatles and launched the disc from inside WiiFlow. It does indeed load from the disc as it should, but it won't recognize SDHC storage format. If I launch from the disc from the Wii menu, it will and I can use the songs I have stored on...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I remember something about having a gamer id file that would be seperate from the wiiflow.ini, is that in the works / possible? That way we could type in the tag there and when there's a new update that needs to reset the ini the tag won't be lost.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Hokay, here's something I just tried. I have Rock Band: The Beatles in my list o' games in WiiFlow, but I wanted to use my SDHC card for the song downloads so I put the disc in the drive and from WiiFlow I launched the disc icon. Game started up, but it launched the WiiFlow version, now the...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Also, there's the option of including a powerd USB hub. I am not sure if the HDD would work through that, but I'm using it for my wired internet connection and my microphone. Has anyone tried it, having a hub in 0 and the HDD running through it? Just kinda curious.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

A little more google, someone had trouble while using BitDefender but it seemed to have cleared up after disabling, so I disabled both AV and Firewall, then tried again. It's still sitting there, how long does this usually take before it starts transferring info? It's just hanging out with the...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I discovered again why I stopped trying to do the 'compile yourself' method... and when I did a google search, I was pointed back to my other post in June. I get an error when using tortoiseSVN. Here's all that's on there when I get my error... Command: Checkout from...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

As far as being a Beta tester, I'm not sure I'd be using it to the point of catching the bugs, I'd just be a casual user. That's probably not what they need, so no dice there. As far as compiling myself, I did try that quite some time ago, didn't get anywhere with it, not sure what went wrong...
