Im Learning Japanese,What Would Be A Good Book To Learn It.

I'm pretty down the road of learning Japanese. From my experience, this stuff is pretty good: Genki: An integrated course in elementary japanese. https://www.amazon.co.jp/GENKI-Integrated-E...5399&sr=8-5 https://www.amazon.co.jp/GENKI-Integrated-E...5399&sr=8-2 Anki: Spaced repetition tool...

    Hacking Order Of IOS's

I have a safer procedure where overwriting IOSs from nintendo isn't _ever_ needed. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=190855 You can use a simplified one than mine yet cleaner than the popular trash method, however. This works with 4.2 afaik: - TBR: Downgrade IOS15 // We modify nintendo...

Hacking Custom IOSX rev18 Installer released

s/could/should/g As of now, every homebrew that accesses the HD is needlessy broken. I hope for a quick fix r19, back to the old device name.

I recommend just using the emu, pcsx2. It rocks.

    Hacking Tool to copy drive

If the disks are identically sized, just boot your favourite linux livecd and do: dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb of course, replacing the names of the devices for the disks with the apropiate ones (don't go and destroy your main hard disk!)

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

Touching the NAND at all is a risk. Overwriting anything from ninty is a higher risk. It's best to be as clean as possible when it comes to the NAND, specially on non-vuln-boot1 devices, as recovery might be impossible without ripping the wii open, soldering stuff and using a NAND flasher when...

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

You're right (in my case). Newer WIIs/systemsoftware do not have the IOS bugs IOS installers need. I understand IOS can only be overwritten and not installed as new ones if the bug isn't available. cboot2 patches the bugs back in ram while loading the IOS. This minimizes risks/ugliness, as no...

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

Ended up making it work (loading a backup!) The super-clean (cleanest to my knownledge) procedure to get a 4.2 new wii to work with backups/undubs/etc: 1. install bootmii/hbc 2. use bootmii to backup NAND (can never be too safe). Remove the SD and copy that backup to computer/safe place. 3. use...

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

Let's just say I meant >200 and my short term memory is too bad to say a correct number :/ I ended up using Trucha Bug Restorer. That program does _not_ reload IOS on startup, so it can be used from cboot2 just fine, and then the TARGET IOS # is clearly selectable.

Since r15 doesn't work, I tried r14. -1035 too. Needs to be rebuilt with the patch I did paste earlier.

Hacking CIOS REV15 Has Been Released

It lacks the patch to disable libogc's IOS reload, screwing cboot2, meaning there's no way to install it unless a >200 cios was available already or (what I don't want to do!) ninty's IOS

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

    Somebody would have to rebuild the cios installer adding the following: s32 __IOS_LoadStartupIOS() { ÂÂÂÂreturn 0; }

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

Sadly, latest version found in http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=190786 Does fail with -1053, which means even if I do not choose to reload IOS, it still has reloaded it during libogc init, effectivelly screwing the job cboot2 done.

Hacking cboot2: Installing IOS254 without downgrades nor wads

I've gathered this information so far: - New wiis (mine) do not allow for installing IOSses without reverting IOS first. - Reverting

    Hacking EZFlash VI doesn't load

NEVER run anything but 1.90beta11 or greater in your Ez Vi. It can BRICK your EzVi. You should try 2.0rc4. RC > Beta. 1.90 is pretty much deprecated.
