Once again. It's very important to make wires as short as possible.
The top cable works perfectly with o3ds and it does not work with my new 3ds xl, the other cable works with both.
It's only 3-4 cm difference.
The transcend ts-rdf9k is compatible with my new 3ds xl samsung nand (red-cpu-10)
I also had problem with blue card. In my case it was a bad contact. Try to apply some paper and sticky tape on top of a card to make blue card thicker a little bit. Be careful don't make a card too thick, it will be difficult to remove it.
Do you see difference www.evo3ds.com and www.evo-3ds.com?
Actually I don't know which one is genuine.
But evo-3ds.com has Creation Date: 2014-03-27 14:19:54
Update.
Everything was as I expected.
My 3ds booted successfully after writing NAND.BIN
I think it's possible to use this backup to rewrite nand if the way to unlock eMMC will be discovered.
I'm now on 7.1-15E. Yes, my 3ds is not bricked. I want to be sure and if your experiments with eMMC controller will be successful than people with bricked consoles will be able to rewrite nand with this backup.
I'm going to write nand.bin made by gateway launcher via hardware mod to my 3ds and write you back about results. As far as I know it's just nand backup exactly as it was made by hardware mod.
No, I don't think so. I used extractor made by n1ghty and write 7.1 via hardware mod to my 3ds (at least on v2.01b). But it's useless to write 7.1 or 6.3 nand backup. You will have to forget about any flashcard with any of this version. But it's better than nothing, if someone discovers way to...
I used HexWorkshop 6.7. There was not any Direct write access mode option. Just opened physical disk and write "prepared" nand backup starting from sector 1 (second sector).
The HomePass works on emuNand, at least in the classic mode. That's the only reason I injected my own 6.3 firmware into...
I'll tell you more. Try to back up firmware, doesn't matter which version. Power up your console, wait couple seconds, shut down and make another back up. And you'll see that dumps will be different.
UPDATE
No problem at all. Dumped 6.3 -> Downgraded to 4.4 -> Used gateway installer and gateway red card -> Upgraded to dumped 6.3.
And interesting thing nintendo ds profile stored somewhere outside nand flash. After upgrade back to 6.3 I still have gateway corrupted profile installed but before...
How Nintendo can block firmware downgrade? I think it's impossible. We don't use any software methods, which are possible to block. I don't see any problem. I'll try downgrade in 5 minutes.
