Errr...get yourself a 16 gig usb flash drive, format it as fat32, copy over the movie, and you'll have no issues. I backed up my ps3 to a 32gb flash and ran in to no problems at all.
I'm going to suggest changing out the memory on the motherboard. While this doesn't explain the multiple instances of Vista, it might explain while Ubuntu isn't loading at all.
Before I get flamed for not noticing that he ran the memtest, I really did notice it. It just seems that he's done...
I'll throw in the M3 Perfect Adapter. It's definitely not cheap and is pretty hard to come by, but works with all games I've come across. The Patch \ Cheating system isn't the most intuitive, but there is a WIKI on it if you need help, and it's really good.

These can be found dubbed...
Air
Claymore
Elfen Lied
Eureka 7
Rorouni Kenshin
Witchblade
Wolf's Rain
All are quite good, though they have their different strengths.
Make sure it's Motor Storm Pacific Rift if you want decent graphics. Also consider Borderlands (for two player coop on the same machine, though the story line is weak) and Fallout 3 GOTY. I'm looking forward to White Knight Chronicles, the 360 port of Star Ocean, and Fallout Las Vegas as well.
Just for grins, load a game utilizes wireless capabilities like Transformers and configure the wifi settings, then exit out and open Mario Kart DS. I used to get the same white screens in Poke Diamond when entering the Global Station until I configured wifi.
Luck with that.
I use iOrgsoft Video Converter, which is able to convert into both iPod and PSP mp4 formats. If you pay for the full, it removes the watermark, which comes with the trial version, and converts mkv as well. I've never had any issue with it. Another choice would be PSP Video 9, which does a...
The one MGS I played was way too preachy. I'm going to suggest going with Fallout 3, though get the GOY edition. There's nothing like slamming a mutant with the sniper rifle and getting a closeup of ludicrous gibs. The non-linear story line and open ended exploration keep it interesting as...
Mini-SD M3 Perfect runs just fine on my DS Lite and my SP. The real time clock is rather nice since there are quite a few games out there that seem to need it. And as noted above, the adapter from micro to mini is reasonably priced.
I tried out a couple others like the Supercard and none of...
I use TVersity, which is like Media Center, so that I can access movies on my computer from my PS3, iphone, and PSP. It also works well with XBox 360 and there are many resources / tutorials on the net that can help you set it up. It takes requests from these devices and transcodes the movies...
I went to a garage sell last saturday, and the lady had a PS2 for sale, but she had a sign on it that said "Nintendo -$50", had to laugh, almost bought but she didn't know if worked, and she didn't have controller or cables, so I passed.
