HyoutaTools should allow you to open the g1t filetype I remember hearing about it working back in the day of pak. And as for what they are I believe they are a filetype for graphics used in the gust system.- ReiX89

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
