Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

THIS! Yes. I am sorry that I am no longer updating the Release build. Fact is, to keep it up-to-date would not simply be providing new update jsons. It would require me to make code changes on 2 branches of the app. Feedback and appreciation can feel low enough at times to demotivate me for...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

I have no clue, honestly. Rapidly getting through development of v1.5 in order to replace v1.4.6 with it, is no longer my goal as it once was. There is little motivation for me to take things any more than casually towards that end. To me, most users spoke loud and clear... with their silence...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

??? v1.4.6 is a CaVE version number, so that's what you are talking about. CaVE IS free. So that makes no sense. And if you want a version of CaVE before v1.4.6 for some reason, that makes no sense either. I make CaVE to be backwards compatible. Rarely, if ever, is there a valid reason to use a...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

Sorry. I have no clue what your issue is. v2.10 added stadium 1, v2.11 added stadium 2, and v2.12 added excitebike 64. None of these games came with any major changes that would be causing real issues. The description of your issue is too vague, leading me to have to guess. Im guessing the...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

You must have a older version of the beta. But yea, i need to fix that link back to the website in the beta it seems I already did, so this issue is just in that older build. Its intention is how its to be when the app is out of beta. But since it is not out of beta, and no longer planned/hoped...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

V1.5 will do nothing more than what you can do in a hex editor. It simply makes it easy is all. I wouldn't recomend waiting for the beta to be over. Ever since the awful reception I got here when trying to release it, hoping more people would help advance through the beta stage quickly, I...

Using saves from other emus/hardware is not supported in v1.4, but was added in the v1.5 Beta. Just SRAM saves though. Not states. Cheats can be ported to NSO N64, but its convoluted. So the save option is probably better for you. Manual save management is covered in the FAQ.

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

That is definitely outside the scope of CaVE right now. It's not impossible to see included with CaVE, just unlikely. The NSO emus are designed with "1 control scheme for all games" in mind. The exception is N64, which has a couple schemes. And it even has a file that by all right should be...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

Possible? Yes. And CaVE supports it. Just right click the stock game in question in the list, and select the "Select New ROM" option or whatever it was in v1.4. As for recommenced... Hard to say with a blanket statement. I wouldn't recommend doing it for random extensive hacks that completely...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

No. That I cant answer. The list is not originally mine. I have not vetted anything on it. Its a remake of a old, now lost list. If there was a ini needed, or specific settings... I would think they would have been linked. Some of the INI's are lost now too, but I see no evidence those ever...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

I take it you mean NSO? Then yes. I believe they will all boot on Yuzu/Ryujinx. I do a bit of my testing with those. Of course... it's a emulator inside a emulator though. Don't expect a smooth experience. I cant say what runs well enough, as thats hardware dependent. But I can say, don't...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

Yea. To each their own. Thats why options are... optional. Customize it however you want! Your preference for icon images, or even some wallpaper options. You could even go nuts and make custom guide/credit pages, with stuff like instruction booklet type information as some have done. Icon...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

In the FAQ section of the opening post of this thread is a link to a community made resource of images. They are generally a cross between the US box image, with the Japanese box style, since the Japanese images are closer to being square, while the US ones are much taller than they are wide. I...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

Just checked again, and mine has sound. Effects and music. So I don't know what would be up with that. I didn't go past the start and options screens though. Knowing it was the prod.keys, and now thinking about it... I don't know how it would be THAT. I would figure there would be an error...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

I don't much like debugging stuff I may have fixed already in v1.5, but... by all rights this sounds like it should work even in v1.4.6. So I just made the EXACT same NSP myself, using v1.4.6. Well, exact in the things that matter. Same "Saturn Bomberman (USA) (DW0837)" BIN/CUE And I believe...

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

I don't know what the issue would be. I do know that the Saturn support in v1.4 has some bugs, that I have since fixed in v1.5 now that I have been made aware of them. But... I don't feel those bugs are related to your issue. Those 2 Toshinden games are not even on the remake of the lost...

A gyroscope game? As far as I know, thats not supported. Don't expect support for a feature when no such other games exists in the stock game list. That probably wont be supported until they specifically add that game itself.

Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

No. Those games you saw are not NSO. Those are Hiyoko and Hovercraft made NSPs. If that is something you absolutely want, Hovercraft is a viable enough emulator for that. But Hiyoko has too many limits (the lack of it saving being the main limit).

Thank you for the expressed appreciation! The lack of feedback\appreciation\response... was why I dropped the project before N64/Gen. That is just one among many sad states of modern internet/emulation culture that I have struggled to get used to. With this project in particular, it has ups and...
