Troubleshooting: B9S was NOT the cause of the Banwave. Nintendo can not get that kind of information from your system, without you sending them your system for them to find B9S. The current cause for the banwave is unknown, but it is known that neither B9S nor CFW were the direct cause for...
Waiting a long time wont help you. If it hasnt loaded in like 10 second or so it probably wont, however black screen can be normal. If it happens 5-10 times without booting then something is wrong. 2-3 times, can just be bad luck. Try a few more times and report back.
Ahhhhhhh you almost certainly dont need to worry about that. At least most people dont. That is for dumping files so certain homebrew apps can use sound I believe.. If you are mainlyusing a9lh to play games and stuff and dont plan on using a lot of homebrew, I just wouldnt worry about it at all.
Sorry looks like I missed a couple posts / edits. But sounds like you are on the right track!
PS. Preemptive answer --> The backup will be in the Emunand9 folder ;)
boot into your sysnand and use FBI to install Luma updater (or Star updater) and update your LUMA to 5.5, and see if it blackscreens again. (and see if it hlps your payload problem)
yeah I have see it both work and not work upgrading from 5.2 so what I suggest you do it when you finish the guide, try updating your LUMA to 5.5 using LUMA updater. IF it goes back to black screen booting after that, then I guess you will be forced to stick with 5.2, but I feel like you are...
Also if you had games and saves etc, emunand_original is the one you want restored to sysnand. if you started with a fresh DS it doesnt really matter which backup you restored to as long as you have the FBI health and safety injected (and frankly you can reinject that if needed anyways). Glad...
I wish I saw this thread hours ago you could haved spared yourself all this horsing around. I have seen it (very rarely) but a few times I have seen A9LH installs working but not booting, exactly like in your case. I would remove all LUMA files and folders from the SD card, then install the luma...
btw i feel this a good time to remind you guys that sea of thieves was made by rare, who also made DKC1-3 and DK64, alongside banjo kazooie and conker's bad fur day
