    Hacking System file is missing!!!!

Except that OP said it was an AK2, not an RPG.

    Hacking EFA-Linker 512 - Driver installation problem

Just keep trying more computers. Make sure your linker is plugged into a motherboard USB port (i.e. in the back, not the front). Apparently it doesn't like most common chipsets these days.

Hacking Elink "Game Boy" screen on start-up

Yep, I noticed it too. Seems odd to me, but I don't really mind it. Only lasts 3 seconds or less anyway. Loading time for some other carts is longer than that.

You'll get more input if you use the formatting from the first page of the thread. Otherwise, no one knows what you want to use it for.

    Hacking Acekard 2 issues

I already ordered, but I appreciate hearing about the issues of a card on GBATemp. It helps me know what to expect when I get it. It's also a good measure of the manufacturer's updates whether the issues ever get fixed. Much easier to browse the various forums here on GBATemp than to go to...

Hacking Acekard 2 in stock at DX

Yep, I don't bother ordering bundles from DX anymore. They just wait on the out of stock product forever and you can't cancel the individual piece. Ridiculous.

Hacking Are there any "future-proof" GBA flashcarts?

I'm new here, and I've only been researching a couple weeks, but I'll offer what I know. My understanding is that nowadays, there are quite a few slot 1 cards that will use slot 2 carts for GBA games, but then save back to the microSD card in the slot 1 the next time you go to the menu. So...

Hacking Post your questions about which flashcart to buy

Wright: The class 6 SDHC cards are generally considered to be faster than the Kingston MIJ cards. The Kingston MIJ cards are faster than the Kingston MIT (Taiwan) cards. My card suggestion for you would be Cyclo + 3-in-1. Sokonomi: I think you already know that Cyclo Evo is the way to go...

    Hacking bad news from yasu

Agreed. The condensed version seems to be: 1) Yasu creates a useful program 2) Yasu's program is in Japanese 3) Yasu says he doesn't care if it's useless to English-speaking users 4) SkH translates program into English anyway, making it usable for English-speakers 5) SkH puts links to the...

Hacking is nes hombrew compatability perfect?

This is all news to me. I mostly wanted a DS for NES games. If compatibility isn't great, then... maybe I should just keep using my SP.

I think Cyclo is the only one with RTS. So if that's a need, then I don't think you have any other option.

Hacking Post your questions about which flashcart to buy

Since no one seems to be responding, I'll take a stab at yours too. Again, I have no direct experience with any cards, but I've read about a thousand product descriptions, reviews, and recommendations over the last few days. Pretty similar to mine, but I think you'll want either the Cyclo or...

Homebrew Ultimate NDS Slot-1 Emulator Resource List

Wow, this list is exactly what I was looking for! Awesome job. Very very useful.

Hacking Post your questions about which flashcart to buy

I've modified my requirements. I don't care so much about the GBA games now, I'm more concerned about the NES/SNES emulation. It looks like extra RAM in a Slot 2 card is very useful for the SNES emulator, right? Please recommend everything I'd need, like CycloDS + EZF 3-in-1 or whatever, so...

EDGE appears to be OOS at DX. I just did a search... did I miss one that's in stock? If so, could someone link? Thanks.

Hacking First-time poster looking for GBA flash cart advice

Hmm... if that's true, then that might change my opinion of the Elink. I wish there were better instruction manuals and documentation for these things. So far, my thoughts are: Elink - Pro: Non-volatile game saves; Con: no understandable labeling of game saves EFA Linker - Pro: Nice game...

Hacking Rechargeable Lithium (coin cell) Battery Life for GBA Flash Carts

Related to my other post where I ranted about the annoyance of having a flaky flash cart battery that loses the saves on the cart all the time, here is my new thread. Doesn't seem like this GBA forum gets too much traffic, but I'll start up the thread anyway and see how it goes. The idea is to...

Hacking EFA vs ELink at DX

Great thread. Interesting views from both sides. It seems that lots of people on the board lean towards the EFA, where before I read the thread, it seemed that the general preference was the Elink.

Hacking First-time poster looking for GBA flash cart advice

Yeah, I was looking at that Elink cart on DX, but it seems just like the old ones I used to have that lost the saves if the battery got disconnected. I might get one as a temporary fix, but I was really hoping to find one that had more persistent data storage.

Hacking First-time poster looking for GBA flash cart advice

I've got a GBA SP and a couple of older EZ Flash carts, an EZ Flash I 512Mb, and an EZ Flash II Powerstar 256 Mb. My frustration is that I go long spurts without playing and the rechargeable batteries die and lose my saves. Then they stopped charging right altogether and the saves randomly...
