    I was thinking the same thing - and it's probably a pretty reliable fix. I have not seen many faulty cards and they should just work first time. If you have the choice, get a replacement card. Otherwise, hack away.

    rix On page one of this thread, I noted the blue screen/reset issue. Apparently there is no code in moonshell to properly support the soft reset back into the DSTT menu. It sounds like Bri is successfully achieving a soft reset? Hmmm.

    Just return it. Really, if it's faulty and you rip it apart, what are you going to do if it still doesn't work? I'm sure the seller will swap it over for you. Make sure it's the card and not the Micro SD! That's why test84 is asking you to remove the Micro SD and see what the DS does.

    I agree twit21, there probably finding their feet. If we be patient, I'm sure we'll see a firmware update in the next 3+ months to rectify some of the headaches. I believe that the current firmware is stable and works well - but improvements are always welcome. Yeah...1.08 is out!

    There are a few variables surrounding this problem, such as; usb1.1 usb 2.0 Brand/Quality of Micro SD Brad/Quality of card reader Bad ROMS Bad Firmware User error (i.e. Removal of flash memory whilst being written to in the pc or switching off DS during a save)

    I'm with Rayder. Copy the files, format and re copy the files back onto the card. A defrag was designed to optimize HDD's. Let the format do the hard work.
