ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

I don't think that is a thing. Doesn't FBI just install cia files, which this is not? This patch should be manually setup using the instructions in the OP.

ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

I just ran this on Luma 7.0.1 without ntr on both an old and new 3ds.

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

The OnionFS NTR plugin works with the update (tested with OnionFS 1.4). Remove the layeredfs.plg and put the OnionFS.plg in its place in SD:\plugin\000400000016E100. Them move the contents of SD:\mhst to SD:\OnionFS\000400000016E100\romfs (so you have, for example, the folder...

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

The +1013 newly translated entries is what @dasding and team have completed in the last 3ish weeks. There are 24 new entries to be translated listed under "Story Dialogs" though, so I guess that could be new DLC content? Edit: Side question for @dasding or others on the team: What categories...

Just look for @dasding's posts in this thread. There's an estimated completion month (very rough) right in the first post.

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

Monster Hunter Explore was localised and given a test release in Canada. Then cancelled a few months later.

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

I agree with Stories. MHXX is yet another Monster Hunter, one that is likely (though not guaranteed) to get a world wide localisation. The 3DS already has 3 of this style released world-wide, with only one (MH4) that wasn't localized so far. Stories is exactly the type of spinoff that stays in...

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

The NTR plugin itself is about 11kb. The data for live patching the romfs doesn't count, as it's loaded by the game on the fly due to the plugin.

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

n3ds or o3ds? If o3ds you will need the mode-3 version of ntr released yesterday since MHS uses extended memory mode. (although I can't personally attest to it). Pay attention to the slightly different instruction for it's use. Also, did you put the mhst folder in the root of your SD card?

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

I just saw the news that o3ds extended memory support released today and came here to correct myself.

ROM Hack [Recruiting] Monster Hunter Stories Translation

No, because NTR does not work on o3ds with games that use extended memory mode. You will need to install a patched cia of Monster Hunter Stories.

    Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

After playing around for a few hours, I have come to the conclusion that the overwriting of the romfs (/luma/titles/<titleid here>/romfs) in the current non-stable version (ef2e008, Jan 24) does not work on o3ds games that boot into extended ram mode. Would I be correct in this? It is somewhat...

    Hacking [Release] rxTools - Roxas75 3DS Toolkit [fw 2.0 - 9.2]

This build works for me (o3ds, sysfirm 4.2), but when building it directly, now with commit id 027551c after the github was repaired, it does not compile. The latest commit (cbd97b4) does compile, but freezes during installation with a single progress square filled in.

    Hacking [Release] rxTools - Roxas75 3DS Toolkit [fw 2.0 - 9.2]

Nobody claimed you were stupid. There's no need to be throwing around insults when trying to get software to work that is in such a state of flux as this. You say now that you moved the firm folder to the rxtools directory, but how was anybody to know that you had done that when all you had said...

Hacking A Little Help with the Supercard Firmware

Copy those file to the root of your Transflash/MicroSD card (Transflash is the origingl name of what is now known as MicroSD), and in you should have (assuming Windows and your MicroSD being drive E:) E:\SCSHELL with all that goes in there, and E:\MSFORSC.NDS

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
But any desktop OS, I've never had anything but frustration trying to get Bluetooth devices to work reliably and stable. It might pair and connect once, and then next time I go to use it I have to delete and re-pair it again

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Not recently but I think it's less a driver issue and more just Windows having a garbage Bluetooth stack
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Could be I was having issues when I first upgraded it and didn't realiser gigabyte has specific driver revisions which is stupid
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
