    I might add that other Genesis games don't seem to have this problem, i.e. forcing the video modes does seem to work generally.

    Thanks, I'll look into Wiiflow for this game :) So is this a known issue? In the future I'd like to be able to force video modes for many virtual console games as required.

    Nuh that's only if you drink what first comes out when distilling, you must throw out the first part of it when it starts running. (Its called the "head(s)" of the run) Or use it for fuel or a general purpose cleaner
