    it is a bit lengthy (7 seconds).(Has nothing to do with depth, just a high number of titles) I turned off the Autoscan at Settings > Content. Rebooted. But it still scans....

    rename the "Compability" folder to "Compatibility-official" and then copy over the hacked "Compatibility" ... if you want to use the original Compatibility just reverse the renaming.
