No matter how much I look, there's nothing that lets you do a straight line from point A to point B, what's with that? I have to draw them manually and on sprite tilesets where it's like 2560 pixels long, it's annoying!

I think you hold shift while using the paintbrush tool to draw a line.

Tried since it was first thing I though but nothing, same for Ctrl and any other key I could think of

You have to use the path tool, and then "stroke path". But yeah, gotta admit you could make lines easier by stroking yourself (I think you know what I mean) and then aiming for it.

I reinstalled the whole thing just in case and NOW Shift works, but it's still clunky AF in general to do even the basic of things...

Oh right, I forgot that you can use the pencil tool to make a single pixel at the starting point, then hold down SHIFT, and then click where you want to "drag" the "pen" to. And as long as you are holding SHIFT you can make closed line loops. If you release SHIFT you must start again by clicking at the start point, and THEN holding SHIFT to continue drawing a line.

Worked that out once it actually started working:P But yeah, generally a pain, I like using only mouse for controlling/drawing stuff, never was a fan of keyboard press+mouse for things. Anyway, trying to get back into game developing and basically had to scrap my old projects to start from scratch...

Why not just use Paint.NET if GIMP is a pain? Always seemed like a much more user-friendly package to me.

If you were to choose between Photoshop and Paint.NET, what would you go for? lol
