General rule is this:
If it inspires discussion or involves complicated problem solving, it should be a thread. If it's just rant, monologue, commenting on something general and instead of discussion it invokes reactions, it goes into blogs. If it's a simple problem with a simple answer, it goes in Ask!. Finally, anything made by you, it should go straight into EoF

Why sad? Listing many Wii U games with a short description/your opinion is not a bad idea. But given that the essentials thread exits, it’s kind of redundant and not really helpful for the forum.
It fits into your blog – where the rules are less strict and your opinion belongs. Embedding the covers is also neat (but so many .png – each about 80kb – are a pain for people with slow internet/limited data volume).
