I need it for support stuff without giving access to the computer, purely shared screen, no file transfer or control wanted, similar to Hangouts's screenshare, but need something without video chat...
Discord's screenshare serves me incredibly well personally. I'll be in the middle of a conversation and I'll go "Just look at this!!" and I'll share my monitor with Chrome on it (usually)
and u can stream specific windows if u choose not to share the entire screen on discord for example i stream osu a whole lot but dont necessarily want the user in call to see other things on my desktop
For Discord, do I need to have the app or can I do it through the browser? Looking for ways I can provide others support on Windows systems and looking for best free option... If Discord has that, it would be really nice since it has the text and voice too...
I know, for example it doesn't allow video calls through browser among other things. If screenshare happens via the video call, then it's not gonna work for me. I'm looking for a way to make it so there's no video call present while screensharing, as if I can't avoid that, then there's no point to switch from Hangouts that most people have...
Discord allows Screenshare. Even offers sound sharing too. But I believe you need to be a Nitro subscriber for 720p and 1080p scenshare quality and for 60fps.
