I know what you mean, every time I go back to it after more than a year wrongly remembering the art to be bad quality, I always get surprised at how I remembered it much worse than it really is! Only other anime that can do that (but not artistically, more like overall fun to watch where you remember them as more boring than they are) are the original DB/Naruto...
