(2/2) that than banning phones altogether. I get bullied on a daily basis and I have shit teachers. Browsing the internet in breaks lets me get off some steam

Probably the biggest reason is not so you don't cheat on tests (be honest, we old people also cheated on tests, way before smartphones even were dreamed about), the actual reason might be to combat the outstanding level of ADHD those things produce on you, and how it makes it hard for you to learn (unless you are so disciplined you don't use it, and that includes breaks).

Perhaps you don't realize how much it affects your attention, because you always lived in a world where your attention was already fucked up. I know the "before" and "after" from experience, and yeah, it really fucks it up.

I agree with @smileyhead, and considering my case I disagree with @sarkwalvein. I always have to be the exception, but I *do* have ADHD, and if I try to concentrate on what the teachers say, and someone interrupts the teacher, then I forget the whole class' material.

I always used my phone or my lappy where I was able to (except litterature and grammatic because the teacher is an ass and biology/chemistry because the teacher is so good at moderating and teaching that I learned everything just by staring at the projector and listening to what the teacher says). As for math, graph calc for 3DS

Seriously, the amount of books and notebooks I have to carry is outrageous. (I would measure my backpack's weight but I don't own a scale.) I would love to ditch at least the notebooks and write down stuff in Word.

I was the only one in the entire school who was allowed to do that, and I still had to carry books and other shit like that with me. So yeah...
