Thanks. However, since they decided to lock my thread, for NOT violating any rules or TOS sections, I'm out. Never met a forum that was such a dick to it's users. Feel free to check out my YouTube channel for any further updates.
The fact you don't think you violated any rules when a mod quoted the rules you violated just says you never read them in the first place, and clearly were never a good fit for the forum anyway. Enjoy life friend.
I might agree there should be a degree of leniency if the videos are in place to support the main content of a post. The rule in place for advertising actually says something along those lines. The OP joined today, and created a post advertising his YouTube content, and that he would be selling them at some point.
The actual content of the post does nothing but come across as a sales pitch, laying the ground for future sales. But that's just my take on it; I'm no mod, nor was I the one to lock the thread.
It's not that I don't THINK I did, I read through the quoted rule. I am not currently offering any item for sale, links to YouTube posts are perfectly fine as long as they are not meant to sell something, and at any moment, I could just as easily stop working on the mod completely. So no, I didn't violate the rules.
I'm done caring right now. If my second thread gets flagged the same way, I'm out. There are many forums out there that are run by people that have no business running a forum, or just want to exercise their view of control.
