CM 13.1 is probably the best combination of stable and complete right now. I still use it on my S5. Or at least I will until Lineage gets further along. The trick right now is finding 13.1 builds for your device, since access to the downloads was cut off unexpectedly and people hadn't archived most of them. Best luck is to ask around places like the XDA Forums.

I tried flashing the lineages ROM to my phone from TWRP, and it flat-out refused to install... Am I gonna have to flash someone's premade tar using Odin or what?

I wiped dalvik/cache, but didn't factory reset... What if it still doesn't work after that?
