That's the idea. I may be giving this thing away, and I wanted it to have a Good fast running OS. Windows works well, until you install tons of programs and take up 70% of the Disk space.

Well, my laptop isn't that bad in terms of specs. I may install Ubuntu instead, either way it's gonna be Linux.

Still, I'd prefer Ubuntu or Kubuntu. Because of Unity and KDE.

service network-manager always gives me beef when I use Mint. If you can get Mint+Cinnamon working w/o that issue, go for it.

It'd just stop taking WiFi signal, so I'd have to run in terminal 'service network-manager restart'. And if that didn't work I'd have to reboot the system

Sounds like a Driver issue. I've never had any issues like that across three laptops.

Probably is.. It only happens to me on Mint though, nothing else. It bugs me, but I'm content with Debian or Ubuntu Mate. (Or Antergos if I'm bored and want to regret not knowing how to convert deb to whatever Arch's install files are)
