Does it just fail to boot? Because with A9HL, the 3DS will not boot without an SD card. As well you need to have a CFW loaded into your SD card to make it boot.

It bricked at the step where I flashed my 2.1 EmuNAND to SysNAND. Not even the guide creators on #3dshacks could figure out what went wrong.
