you can use something like 3DNUS to download the entire 10.5.0-30U pack on your computer and use sysUpdater on emunand to update it.

@ihaveamac I can only use mobile at the time and that's why I asked this question. If I install 10.3 can I install 10.5 with system settings or sysupdater (or is it another complicated process)?

generally you should be updating emunand with system settings unless you have no choice

if you can make an emunand backup with something like Decrypt9 or EmuNAND9, and you already have the cia files, then you can update. but no you can't access the eShop on 10.3 without updating.

New3DS? you'll have to use something like NTR CFW, Free multi Patcher, or that region free app. ReiNand doesn't do it automatically.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
