I am having PTSD related to some Soviet sewers by looking at this... I wonder if those sewers could be brought to post-Perestroika standards through this decomp.
There's this game called Xenogears, it was released backed in 1998... great game to be honest, I struggled a lot through the second disc though and I am very sad that I never completed it back in the day. I would love to play this game. Well, inside this game there are (among many other cities) two great powers states of the land (let's not talk about the stuff floating above the land though). One of these powers is inspired in the USSR quite clearly, it is the Kislev empire.
The capital of the empire, Nortune, has a horrible set of sewers, somehow attached to the prisoners block, and this segment of the game, where you have to travel through the sewers... well, I don't remember it well, it just triggers PTSD for me, probably it was a pain in the ass kind of maze with a very high encounter rate that proved your patience... so the joke about bringing the Soviet-era sewers to post-Perestroika standards is about Quality of Life changes on this segment.
