I know nothing about tvs, ribbon cable?

It depends on manufacturer, but this seems to be an LG TV?

And Kyle is kinda right, some TVs uses ribbon cables to connect the LCD to the Board, and even as a probable cause, this seems to be an issue with the panel, not the cable.

Try applying gentle pressure around the frame to see if picture reacts. If not, then definitely cable.

If you look closer, the pattern is different on the right of the settings icon, how it's more faded there, but it fades to "normal" near the bottom, so I suspect an internal short is causing the other chiplets to misbehave.

If anything, it looks suspiciously the width of one chiplet on the width of the many ribbon cable pieces. You can try unplugging that ribbon cable (I'm pretty sure there is a way to unclip it, unless they have cost-optimized it further) to see if that makes the other portions of the screen stop misbehaving.

Howdy, thanks for the tips guys.
Yeah, it was an LG TV. Checked and the ribbon dunno if it was damaged, but it was perfectly seated so no way disconnection caused this. Also, tried applying some preasure to the edges and nothing changed.
