Tangentially, I'll add to the e-waste pile: ANY device with a USB C port that is missing the 2 cents worth of CC1/CC2 signaling resistors (thus making it not adherent to USB C spec) that would make it support C to C charging
Dude don't get me started over USB shit.
Micro USB is evil and was invented to be unusable after 6 months, I cannot see any other reason why it was built so cheap.
3 phones died because the USB port broke, despite extra care I took for them.
Unable to charge them or even get files transfered anymore.
Today? My 2020 Huawei phone with a USB C port (thanks fucking god) is on its 5th year still going strong.
It's almost as if they realised that maybe it definitely should not be the most critical component to break before anything else.
