@SylverReZ nothing wrong with your choice of OS. The issue is where you have Linux fanboys going into Windows spaces talking shit while people are trying to have nice informative conversations. It's especially worse in Steam Deck discussions.
@LightyKD I agree. I wouldn't call myself a 'linux fanboy' per se, but the issues between Linux and Windows fanboys is something I don't understand. The same argument applies to console fanboys, bragging about why their favourite console is better than theirs, and what features it offers over the competition.
In my response, that's just them nitpicking on others because of what it offers. An operating system is an operating system, and a console is a console, whichever suits your needs is fine. But bullying others because of their preference is not okay.
Agreed. I created r/windowsondeck as a safe space for people that wanted to use Windows on their Steam Deck and to this day it's easy to run into that one Linux fanboy that's hanging around just to talk shit. Makes me wish I didn't give away my mod rights but it was either that or go crazy behind people lol
Cool. My Steam Deck runs Windows as it's only OS and it's my only gaming PC. However it's not my daily computing driver. That honor goes to my HP Chromebook x360. I effing LOVE this thing!
My kids have Chromebooks for school and they're honestly not terrible. Decent office type machines or for the tinkerer. The ability to run some android apps is a plus as well.
