Yeah, mine wasn't. I bought it back in October 2015 for 28€, quite cheap for the time anyway... I lost a lot of data though

Did it just recently die? SanDisk is supposed to be one of the top lines

Not recently, it was back then just a couple of months after I bought it. I was using it to run some Wii U backups, it was connected 24/7 the Wii U USB port but this shouldn't be reason for it to die... I got a USB HDD for the Wii U after the flashdrive died and the HDD is still working. I still have the receipt in my E-Mail, and it indeed was a "SANDISK Ultra® USB 3.0 Flash-Laufwerk 128 GB".

I had one of these that I used for my 360--it worked great for a year or two and then just wiped itself randomly.
My recommendation: to avoid headaches, don't put anything of importance there, or at least have backups all around... mine lasted about two months, most of the time being used read only, and data was later unrecoverable.
