They force the app version of the control panel. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it hasn't been very stable for me. Even now. If I want to have the latest updates and game optimizations, I have to deal with it.
So to be clear, you're experiencing this on 11? Odd that it's not stable, haven't had any issues installing the latest update. I also noticed the Shadowplay overlay comes up immediately as opposed to taking about 0.8 seconds in 10.
I've had this issue since they introduced these drivers. Since then I've stayed on standard. However, now they're forcing DCH and I'm back to having issues.
Sorry, still unclear. Cause it sounds like you're on Windows 10 and since I assume 11 also forces DCH like in recent Windows 10 builds (the assumption), you think you will have the same issues with 11. Or are you on 11 and this is the case? Also btw, store app version? Like, Windows Store?
I'm on 11. Nvidia no longer offers the option for their standard driver. This started after Windows 11 dropped. So, I assume that by association it's because of that. Functionally, the drivers perform the same. Yes, Windows Store. UWP, but I don't think it's a UWP app.
I also don't think I'll have the issues. I am definitely having them. The control panel freezes and in some instances flat out refuses to launch.
