It was an endless source of fascination for me back then. A strange secret world nobody else knew about. I even realized that defeating enemies changes things in kennel world after a while, but I never knew that the same number of enemies leads to the same world every time. I was just a kid. The clear purple Gameboy Color with LA DX was a birthday present, one of the best I ever got.

I had learned about it online, but I found the fishing pond glitch world by accident once, that broke the game a bit on its own too.
This is also documented, although not as complete as Kennel World, that is arguably much easier to achieve in the first place.

Ooh Vin that website brings back memories! I remember looking at the early Zelda 64 screenshots there years ago!

I found the kennel world when I noticed that Link could get partway into walls by hugging them. I randomly hugged house walls in the village and got there by accident. First time it dropped me into the glitched Bottle Grotto. Next time it dropped me into the Swamp and I was so confused.

It took me years before I realized that defeating enemies changes how the kennel world looks. ^-^

Yeah it's awesome stuff lol
I like this website too for the beta content and glitches, there's always something cool to do to break these games, hehehe

Reading about both Ren and Vin comments, reminded me feeling likewise fascinated, by worlds beyond 8 on Super Mario Bros. For Nintendo Entertainment System platforms: I first got to try them thanks to a Famiclone with built-in games that had entries for starting at different worlds;

years after, I found out about this website I think you may enjoy to watch at, that allowed me to explore and relive my fascination for; my favorite world of them all, is world E! It is exciting for me to explore, as it seems to have different layouts to me on different playthroughs, and now and then having some nice graphic glitches and music slow-down:

I will definitely explore World E now! You made me curious Sharwil! :3

I found a Super Mario Bros romhack that allows the world select counter on the title screen to go further than the usual 8, in theory it allows access to all 256 worlds. I think they start to repeat themselves eventually, but I didn't explore further than World B or C last time I tried it.
