pc, as you can emulate the two others on a pc

a pc would be the best choice in my opinion, because as scott said, you can emulate both with great accuracy. but at the same time, those two consoles will only rise in price as the world turns. i personally think you should invest into a personal computer, because it can do way more than just emulate, too

I already have a laptop and I can emulate consoles all the way up to the switch-
But it’s starting to fall behind in emulators and it was always wat behind for VR.
I plan to collect older consoles however- I’m getting tired of emulation for older ones. There’s just no way to truly replicate the feelings other than playing on the original console itself

that's the factor that i was going to go on about, but i didn't know how you felt about it so i held shut. there are two main things to console collection though, that being the console and the games. depending on the console, both are/can be equally hard to get at a cheap price. but if money isn't a big issue, i say go for it and go all out. games4life

i mean, emulation is pretty nice when you're poor, as you know youll never ever own the original consoles, so im just speaking from my exprience as a poor person

i've always like emulation more than the physical consoles. i can control more things, can use a controller i'm comfortable with(dualshock4 baby!), can pause it easier, save the game at any point, etc. i'm not really poor per say, but still can't afford the real consoles, but still don't worry about wanting to. does that make sense lol

I’m still just not sure... I mean-
I have an N64 now. Once I’m moved in, I’m only going back to emulator for ROM hacks (which will become less and less common when I get a flashcart)
I’d love to have a GameCube and play all the big titles. The Zelda ones, Sunshine etc. I mean, I have a tradition of beating Luigi’s mansion on Halloween week every year.

But I’d also love to play my favorite VR games above 50 FPS and not on the lowest resolution-
Granted I do have the quest 2 now, but there’s still a lot of PC exclusive experiences I love.
And I mean, with a desktop, everything would be much better in general- especially with high-end emulators and VR

if i was in your position, i'd buy the pc first. once you have that, you have something that WILL occupy you till you get the actual consoles.
