I find it interesting that LGBTQ+ people were treated decently in the Ancient World but then Monotheistic Religions come and start to hate them.

Exactly! In the first Imperial Dynasty, 4 out of the 5 Emperors were Bi.

but those were neither christians, not that I think jesus ever said anything about wrong sexualities either, though I don't know everything he said, but it seems very unlikely that he would say that based on what I do know he said.

The hatred is all drawn from the old testament I think, written by completely different people, anyway, no historical or religious traditions or whatever gives them an excuse anyway, so it doesn't matter.

I thought Christianity was supposed to accept anyone, but during the time I've been alive, I've seen Christian churches occasionally reject LGBT people from time to time- not sure if that's just cuz people in my area are... not too kind

Christianity is supposed to accept everyone in theory; in practice, not so much. Both the Old Tesatament and the Tanakh say that Homosexuality is wrong, even though it most certainly is not.

You are right about both things ;w; but god should be left to do all judgement, not the humans . . .

@XAIXER funny how they let the new testament override the old in some places, but not others. It's just made to fit the people in power x'3

that being said, LGBTQ+ hate is mostly not even for christian reasons, mostly just plain prejudice

Not to mention the fact that the texts of the Bible are poorly translated and should be re-sourced from Biblical Hebrew. Apples aren't a forbidden fruit; apple and bad are homonyms in Latin. Malum is apple and can mean bad depending on how its used in a sentance.
