I joined in 2014 for the nintendont project, lol
Back in the day only Wind Waker and a handful of games actually booted, it was so much fun to see the progress on this one.
@VinsCool I only started modding my consoles last year. I wish i hadn't started last year, I had a perfectly good N3DSXL (the beatiful red one) that i sold for dirt cheap to a game store. I could've gotten a lot of extra use out of it.
@VinsCool Yeah. Ik piracy is bad and everything but shit is expensive here. The best console to get here would probably be an xb1 because of game pass. Also game pass is fucking amazing even if some games there are hot garbage.
@James_ don't even mention Sega for the love of GOD. it's a fucking stereotype at this point. NO WE ARE NOT SEGA FANATICS CAN Y'ALL FUCKING STOP. THERE ARE "RETRO" MD'S OR MS'S BUT NOBODY BUYS THEM. WE AREN'T IN THE FUCKING 90'S ANYMORE SEGA DOESN'T RULE THE CONSOLE MARKET HERE ANYMORE. IF ANYTHING RULES THE MARKET HERE IT'S MOBILE OR PLAYSTATION (2,3 and 4). Fuck i hate this stereotype.
1/2 Also, Nintendo was very much a thing here in the 90's.
But nowadays nintendo ignore brazil's existance. Ever since the N64 nintendo here has been nowhere near as strong as it once was. As an example, the average 1st party WiiU game in 2014-kind of today but it depends costs like 300-400BRL. I remember when Splatoon
2/2 was brand new i saw a store selling it for 500BRL. And it's not like i could acess the eShop on the WiiU. For some dumb reason, you couldn't use the eShop if your WiiU was set to Brazil as it's region. It would just say "welp fuck you this isn't available in your country". And it's not like it was like this on ALL nintendo consoles, oh no, the Wii/3DS shops could be used just fine here.
1/2 I didn't know that. Furthermore i had an 8GB WiiU with a 16GB flash drive. It's not like i could download much. also the flash drive was used for saves and updates. Yeah. My 8GB wiiu didn't have enough storage for that. And i would have to get giftcards to use on the eShop.
2/2 Basically, it was horrible using the eShop on the WiiU if you were a brazilian. Also if you wanna change your WiiU's region, you have to format it. Soo even more shit to do.
