All I wanted was retro FPS games on the go. I didn't pirate (believe it or not) and didn't even mod games. Was banned. It sucked.

The thing where hacks did not lead to bans is probably the exception rather than the rule. If it ever does happen it will probably be after Nintendo gave up and moved onto something new.
Embrace the ban -- it is not like Nintendo online is something you will miss.
