The world is square tile based. It makes things easier.
I'm still setting up my hacked switch. It takes a bit longer than I thought. Having all my favourite old games on one console is worth the effort.

Nice tile game :3 you can make a 16x16 fox and 16x16 everything else :3 I coded a smol lode runner clone in the meantime, I just need the enemies....
About the switch, yeah it's too expensive xD well have fun with that!

It will be interesting to see how that works. I would start simple, by making the enemy run towards your general direction.
That is, when you are left of the enemy make the enemy run left. When you are right make it run right.
That is, when you are left of the enemy make the enemy run left. When you are right make it run right.

When you are above the enemy and they get to a ladder while running left or right make them climb the ladder until they are the same height as you or the ladder ends. then they can run toward your position again.
Same thing when they are below you.

It will probably be more complicated to actually do it. This is just a quick idea. I never made something like this before.

Aww, I wonder why everybody dislikes the Switch. It is too expensive, but it's not like any other console is better in that regard.
It is an emulation powerhouse. I don't care about native Switch games, I don't play many modern games in general, but for emulators it is perfect.
It plays N64 and Gamecube games better than my old laptop does :3
