People praise "meh" anime like Kimi no Nawa, but those don't come even close to it, out of all the anime I've ever watched I've only ever gotten the feels two other times, worse than this one, but this one still was impressive, really sad but incredible;~;

Great film and definitely one of my favorites from the past year! Sadly, the ending didn't quite make me sob uncontrollably when I saw it in theaters, but perhaps a second viewing will rectify that. On a (mostly) unrelated note, have you watched Hotarubi no Mori e before? It's probably my favorite emotional anime film, largely for what it manages to do in its exceedingly short runtime.

The light novel definitely was a great read. Haven't seen the movie all the way through yet, but I'm hoping it's just as good.

I have watched Hotarubi no Mori e, really good, but didn't hit me as hard honestly, it takes a LOT for an anime to hit me in the feels honestly! This one hit me pretty heavily enough to tear up a little, doesn't come close to the other two that hit me hard though, No Game No Life Zero made tears well up, while the Quan Zhi Gao Shou movie made me actually cry some!

And light novel was indeed a lovely read, try both the live action and the anime version of the movie by the way, they are both incredible!

NGNL0 made me sob when I first watched it, haha. It's probably my favorite anime film that I saw in theaters in the last two years. Either that or Maquia. As for Hotarubi, part of the reason I adore it so much is because it's so short. I just love a film that can do so much with so little!
